122 Good Grief
Monday Dec 21, 2020
Monday Dec 21, 2020
So normally this time of year, I produce a special Christmas episode that is all about the season, but this year, I’ve decided to do things differently. I know that we are in what’s considered the most wonderful time of the year, but I cannot ignore the difficulty that many people are facing, including myself, this holiday season. Right now life may be described how Charles Dickens said it “it was the best of times and the worst of times.” You may have a lot of really good things going on in life, but you’re also having to deal with some really hard things like grief. So, today we are going to talk about grief. I have lost 2 family members in the last 5 months and I know so many people around me and in this world are mourning the loss of a loved one, so this holiday season, we are going to keep it real and talk about grief, what it looks like, and how to deal with it, and I hope to inspire you to give it some time.

120 I'm Late!
Monday Dec 07, 2020
Monday Dec 07, 2020
Every year websites and magazines come out with the top 30 people under the age of 30 or maybe even a 40 under 40. For most, it is an honor to be apart of this list. But through my work as a therapist I’ve seen far too often how this correlation between success and age has lead to a generation of people, especially women, who determine their worth by how much they accomplish, how many boxes they check, and how much they do before a set age. This mindset has lead to many people feeling anxious, depressed, and unsatisfied with their blessed life, all because of timing. In today’s episode I want to discuss the danger of this narrative and show you how to break this toxic mental cycle. And I hope to inspire you to take your time.

No matter whether it’s your ideas about school, your career, or even in raising your children, it’s like there’s always somebody there with their two cents and saying “it’s impossible.” Well, I’m here to tell you that those people are wrong. In today’s episode, we will talk about sources of positivity for your life, how to set boundaries against the nay-sayers, and how to put yourself on a path towards bringing the impossible to life. And I hope to inspire you to believe it’s possible.
